Joey sticks around because his family is embarrassed over his venereal disease advertisements and Rachel tries to raise money for her Vail skiing trip. Plot: Monica becomes furious when everyone shows up 45 minutes late to Thanksgiving dinner — Rachel and Phoebe Lisa Kudrow brought Emma to a beauty pageant and Ross and Joey attended a Rangers hockey game.
In the end, her mood changes when she and Chandler get a call from an adoption agency about a baby. Or should I say … Chanberries! On the Menu: Turkey, soggy stuffing, brussels sprouts, chocolate pies, cranberry sauce, bread, salad, macaroni and cheese. Plot: Flock of Seagulls hair! As the group reminisce, Monica reveals that she once overheard Chandler call her fat. I want to see you take off. Chandler: Well, then I guess I'm going to Yemen. I'm going to Yemen.

In a season featuring some of the series' best episodes, from Joey and Chandler's takeover of Monica and Rachel's apartment to Ross and Joey's hilarious dating mishaps, even the Thanksgiving special stands out. It's the combination and culmination of several of those threads that puts this episode head and shoulders above the rest.
