Why do people hate north carolina
I don't plan on ever moving from this beautiful state. I myself don't really like Eastern NC. I've never lived outside a major NC metropolitan Triad 3, Sandhills 4 and never plan on living rural because i'm a city guy. Father is from Chicago mother is from Winston-Salem. They need to build an interatate from Fayetteville to Wilmington. It would probably help the economy so much in Eastern NC. Originally Posted by Archer Originally Posted by lkmax.

Neither Wilmington nor Fayetteville would benefit from that at all. Have you been to Clinton lately? KKK counties? I'm certainly not a fan of where I live, but I'm from Bladen and trying really hard not to take offense from your garbage let's just say most of us don't find Goldsboro Paris either.
I would be miserable if I lived in ENC my whole life and never got out. So you know maybe the problem is you for still being there at Anyway I find a good bit to like about ENC especially from a nature and rural living perspective We can all appreciate being tired of your small town and state after thirty years but blasting crap about is just a sign of your lack of life experience not that they suck. No, not really, but inland eastern NC is my least favorite part of the state, so I can sympathize there.
Love the beaches, though. My family is from SE NC, so I had my share of experience in eastern NC and I can appreciate a lot of things about it, but would never want to live there again.
Came back to Chapel Hill where I went to college and stayed like a lot of people do. I don't really get what you're saying about Raleigh feeling "fake" or growth in Goldsboro feeling "fake". Last edited by poppydog; at AM.. A lot of us northerners who have moved to GA or FL, wind up in NC, because it seems the perfect compromise between having 4 seasons, yet moderate winter and summer.
I think you are just ready to spread your wings and try some new places. It's the time of life that you should do this. She'll be teaching more localized lessons of oppression with her new column, but first, she had to get some things off her chest after moving back to her home state.
I'm 23 years old and I just failed my drivers test. After an excruciating three hours spent at the Brookshire Boulevard DMV, let's just say I'm feeling resentful about the entire state of North Carolina. As I write this, I'm still reeling from the smug smirk of my soulless exam overseer, who refused to banter with me or give me his name.
I've been away for the past five years, and my absence numbed me to how awful this state and its people can be. Call me bitter. Call me a virgin [strike-through] lady who can't drive. But the rage I felt from failing solely because I made a u-turn instead of a left turn has rotted into pure hatred for the entire fucking state. In this God forsaken red state, a man can ignore a woman's cries for him to stop if she initially consented to sexual contact.
I'm pretty sure there's a southern hospitality joke to be made here. This impacts gerrymandering policies, education standards and tolerance for people perceived as "other. Less hospitals in rural areas means higher health insurance. Additionally, people living in rural areas are more likely to be stuck in food deserts — low-income areas where at least 33 percent of the population doesn't have access to affordable and healthy food — which is why we're the 22nd most obese state in the country.
The student assignment plan ensures that the city's poorest and brownest go to the schools with the least resources and opportunities. Log into your account. Forgot your password? Create an account. One season we're on cloud 9, the next we can't even beat simple teams. It takes a lot of dedication to stick by our sports teams but we don't mind it. I won't even delve into politics to each their own but there are some blatant issues in our government system - for one, the way we treat our teachers. Sure, other places are beautiful, but we all have that pang of knowing if we leave just how much we'll miss our beautiful state.
